Carnivora™ Whole Animal Dog and Cat Raw Food Diets

Carnivora™ buys a variety of live animals directly from small-scale producers. The animals we choose must be healthy, disease-free and raised following natural management and feeding practices that are free from harmful additives, antibiotics or hormones.

We purposely avoid feedlot and factory farmed animals. The animals we purchase are slaughtered at regulated and approved abattoirs, then prepared and packaged into the final product the Carnivora™ presents to you.

Carnivora™ does not add supplemental vitamins, minerals, herbs, botanicals or other non-nutritive substances to our Whole Animal diets. Instead, we encourage you to supplement or add dietary options that are specific to your cat or dog, their breed and their lifestyle.

We never add grains, potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, tapioca or pea starch to any of our diets. In nature, only a small percentage of the wild canid and felid total diet consists of plant matter - approximately 1%. Neither dogs or cats have an “essential requirement” for carbohydrate. They do not have the oral conformation or intestinal tract anatomy to efficiently break down and absorb starches or carbohydrates matter without artificial, human intervention.

During the preparation of pet foods, fragile omega fatty acids undergo oxidation by light, oxygen or high temperatures. Since oxidized fats can contribute to health problems, we do not add fatty acid supplements to our whole animal diets. Probiotics and prebiotics are also unnecessary because the carnivore's natural diet fosters healthy microflora in their intestinal tract. Just as some pet foods contain many ingredients, others may contain too few. For instance, a diet containing only meat combined with organs or meat combined with bones doesn't offer carnivores the full complement of nutrients needed.

Carnivora™ offers you a variety of simple, convenient-to-use products to maximize your pet's health.

A rotation of the Carnivora™ Whole Animal diets can be fed as a total diet for pets with no specific medical problems. Certain health conditions or diseases will call for a more individualized approach. Our whole animal diets offer a wide range of fat levels for the less active pet or the high energy canine athlete. Pure, "species specific" protein sources from free-run and free range animals will tempt your pet's discerning palate. Carnivora™ wholesome optional foods and supplements provide other healthy components you can combine to individualize your dog or cat's diet. With  Carnivora™ products, you take charge of your pet's health!
